The intra-company transfer is suitable for the following groups:

• Corporations seeking to set up a branch / joint venture in Canada;
• Business owners looking to expand their existing businesses and creating a joint venture or branch in Canada;
• Senior business managers of existing businesses looking to expand and set up their own business in Canada within the same field of expertise which they are currently working.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant has worked min. 1 year in the past 3 years for the foreign/parent company;
• The applicant has been employed in an executive, senior managerial or ‘Specialized Knowledge’ position in the home country/parent company;
• The applicant will be transferred to Canada to a similar position;
• Owners of the companies are eligible to apply to start the new branch in Canada.
