Advantages of studying a master’s program in Canada

If you wish to remain in Canada after completing your studies, undertaking a master’s program have many advantages, not only it will help you with networking options and better job opportunities for the future, but it will also grant you more points than an undergraduate program when applying for residency through one of the many streams Canada has to offer. Even more, depending on the province, it may also allow you to apply for specific Provincial Nominee Programs right after completion with no work experience or job offer required, one of the fastest ways to obtain your Permanent Residency.

Which program to choose from?

There are many aspects to take into consideration when choosing a master’s program, but the cost may be among the most important ones. Canada has many of the top Universities in the world, the more recognized the school, the more expensive the program. However, there are many smaller high-quality Universities that offer excellent programs at the same or at a cheaper price than a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree.

The next thing to consider is the requirements. Masters in all Canadian Universities are quite competitive, so you do require good grades or GPA (grade point average). It is also important to choose a program that does not require additional testing, complex pre-requisites, and lengthy graduation processes like a thesis or research project.

Finally, choose a program within a high-demand occupation! Remember that finding a job after graduation is not only vital for you to be able to support yourself in the country, but also if you wish to immigrate permanently.
