Canada PR without English test for Investors

You have probably figured it out by now…99% of all skilled and business immigration programs in Canada which will lead to direct PR require proof of language in either English or French.

Today we’re going to show you how you can potentially apply for a direct PR through a program where language ability is not mandatory.

Many programs such as the Entrepreneur Provincial, or Startup Visa programs require a minimum language exam score to be eligible. However, for the pathway that we will review in this article, the proof of language ability is optional and not mandatory.

If you are interested in applying for immigration to Canada through the Canada Investment Visa, look no further, that’s our specialty here at INGWE Canada. We have successfully supported applicants from +47 different nationalities. Click the link, fill out the form and get a FREE email assessment, click here.

Canada Investor Visa – No English required

This is how this program works:

1: It’s a provincial skilled immigration program in BC.

2: If you do not already have a genuine offer of employment from a Canadian company in this province, then it’s easy: you invest less than 10% in an active and operational business in this province and you will become a minority shareholder. When you become an investor, one of your conditions is that the company sponsors you to come to Canada in an important role that is required for the company. So basically the company in Canada will hire you and sponsor you for PR and allow you to obtain a work permit through the provincial program.

3: With the BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), specifically the skilled immigration stream, it is 100% allowed to own less than 10% of a business for applicants who also have job offers from this company.

4: The applicant, being you, applies with this genuine offer of employment to the provincial skilled immigration stream. This program is a points-based system that gives you a score based on your education, work experience, salary, geographic location of the business in BC, and so forth.

5: The points for language are not mandatory – and only optional bonus points you could claim.

How to avoid a language test for Canada Immigration

The trick with this program to avoid the language ability is to:

A: Provide good documentation on your work experience, education, and expertise in the given field related to your job offer.

B: Prove that you are capable of completing the duties in the job description for the specific NOC code (occupation code). If you do not have proof of language, it should be a NOC code that allows it or at least have other supporting documents that prove that you are able to perform the job.

The current BC PNP skilled immigration stream point threshold is 104 for general draws if you are not in one of the high-demand occupations (this is as of December 2022). Therefore, you need to calculate your potential points before you apply under this program for your PR and work permit.

This is a PR + work permit stream. This means that you can apply for your direct PR after you are nominated by the province of BC and apply for your work permit – along with your family.

It is not as complicated as you may have thought. It’s as simple as investing and being nominated through the provincial nominee program. The greatest benefit  is that for these PR programs, it doesn’t really matter if you are from a high refusal region or have no travel history.
