Employer
Support Services

Is your company finding it difficult to hire skilled workers for your operations?

Lack of skilled workers to run your company’s production at full capacity or your existing staff being spread out thin; working overtime leading to problems / exhaustion / extra pay / safety risks.

Our Solution

  • Expand your candidate selection pool to beyond your local community/district – even beyond your province and country;
  • Access a pool of millions of skilled workers overseas who have the experience and skills you are looking for.

The Canadian government has recognized the need for skilled workers in Canada, especially in heavy industry, and has allowed Canadian employers to hire foreign killed workers who will enter Canada on a work permit to perform the required jobs until their contracts expire.

The process

  • Identify vacant positions and sign a retainer agreement to start the process;
  • Initiate the advertisement process for hiring;
  • We send you a list of profiles of candidates until selection by the Employer is complete to fill the vacancies;
  • Our office will start the application process with the government by working closely with your office;
  • We will receive approval and apply for a work permit for the workers;
  • Newly hired staff will start working at your company.

* If you already selected your temporary foreign workers, our office will be happy to provide LMIA and work permit application services for your business.

Advantages of this process and outsourcing your paper-work to us:

  • The entire communication with the government is handled by us. We assist your local office to send us the necessary information in order for our office to complete all application paperwork, etc;
  • We assist with the entire advertisement process (if applicable). Your office will just “watch and learn”;
  • We make sure all regulatory requirements are met such as wage rates, agreement templates, etc;
  • We will apply for ‘unnamed’ approvals from the government, which allows you to immediately hire a replacement worker in case the original one was unable to start work or stopped working half-way through the contract. A replacement worker is found and send to your site without any additional expenses;
  • Minimal cost to the employer for all the above-described services;
  • The employer will be always in full control and can cancel the contract at any time with the foreign worker and decide to hire somebody else;
  • Foreign workers are obliged to work only for one specific employer based on the work permit issued by the Canadian government. They are unable to switch employers while in Canada unless the employer fails to fulfill contractual obligations of wages, a safe working environment, etc;

Work Visa FAQs

In most cases, if you are outside of Canada and your spouse is not working/studying in Canada, it is required that a Canadian company offer you a formal job. In this case, you will have no other choice.

Another more expensive option is to apply for an investor work permit – to start your own business as a manager/owner in Canada.

These are the categories of people who can apply for open work permits for Canada:

  • Are an international student who graduated from a designated learning institution and are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program
  • Are a student who’s no longer able to meet the costs of your studies (destitute student)
  • Applied for permanent residence in Canada
  • Are a dependent family member of someone who applied for permanent residence
  • Are the spouse or common-law partner of a skilled worker or international student
  • Are the spouse or common-law partner of an applicant of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
  • Are a refugee, refugee claimant, protected person or their family member
  • Are a temporary resident permit holder
  • Are a young worker participating in special programs

In each of these above-listed situations, you must meet additional criteria to be eligible.

If you do not have a spouse in Canada with a valid permit (work or study), then your only options are summarized below:

  • Find a Canadian employer to offer you a full-time job
  • Come to Canada as a student and after graduation receive a post-graduate work permit. Study part-time 20 hours a week while you study
  • Invest in a business in Canada (new or existing) and receive an investor or start-up visa work permit
  • Be accepted as a legitimate refugee claimant in Canada

*** Our office does not handle refugee applications.
